It's all virtual

Opportunity, you say?
Like me, and many others, I'm sure you've noticed the decrease in real paid jobs and the rise of 'internships', 'work experience','apprentices' and so on and so forth; which more often than not are unpaid. It is with great regret that I now inform you that this opportunity of which you are about to learn is, alas, also unpaid.

But please don't let that stop you from reading on...
HeadsUpWordsDown is hiring!
June 2013
So HeadsUpWordsDown is looking for fun, creative and passionate individuals who love learning, writing and asking lots of questions!

If you're looking for a career in journalism, the music industry, PR or marketing...then this could be great experience (you know...to add to your CV). You'll get the opportunity to write about lots of interesting things and people, and will have the chance to have your work published online.
As HeadsUpWordsDown is all online (here, Facebook, twitter, youtube etc) it's all virtual. In other words there are no offices or tea rooms, everything is done online. So...you can 'work' from wherever you want. Your bedroom, bathroom...you could even work from the pub...or park.

So if you want to join the team all you'll need is a computer and a decent wifi connection. Easy.
If you think this is something that you'd love to get involved with then...get in touch!

Just email:
- your name
- age
- where you're based
- what you'd like to do (news/music/interviews etc?)
- and a little example of your work*

to Katy at headsupwordsdown@gmail.com

We look forward to hearing from you!

*An example of your work could be a 500 word review of a random single**

**a random single could be John Newman - Love Me Again
Well we need people who can keep up on news (in and out of the music world), know how to write reviews (effectively analyse music)...and can conduct funny, interesting and appropriate interviews.

Think you can do that? (I'm sure you can...)

More specifically we're looking for contributors in the following areas:

News
Music (Interviews/Reviews)
YouTube - search for youtube talent...and write about it (easy...huh?)
Comedy

*The website is set to grow and so other opportunities will become available.

I want to apply!

What will I do?
