Sometimes you just get tired of listening to the same old manufactured pop poop and delve into the online world filled with hidden musical wonders and undiscovered artists desperate for just a moment of your time. One can spend hours rifling through pages, channels and blogs and find barely enough talent to fill an X Factor audition. So we've done the hard work for you and have provided 5 up-and-coming female artists who we feel deserve a bit of your attention...
and maybe even your money.

5 female artists waiting to be found by you

26/08/13
Her first album's due out this September...but that's not nearly enough time to tell everyone out there how incredibly awesome (not to mention talented) she girl is.
There's plenty evidence circulating YouTube that proves Kat Dahlia deserves to be on top. Her voice is so deep, fierce and filled with the kind of emotion most of us wish we had. Seriouly listen to her music and experience it for yourself.
You won't regret it; we promise.
Tanya Lacey's been around a lot longer than any of us will spend this second realising. She's a real talent; reminiscent of a young Mary J Blige or Keyshia Cole...but that may indeed be the problem pertaining to her lack of increasing popularity - is she just too similar?
But then you could argue...so are many other of today's artists. So let's give the girl a go then.
She could easily be up on a pedastal alongside Rita Ora; she just needs someone like Drake to write her a song...or two. Plus a moment of your time. I think you'll enjoy.
Lexy and her quartet (...four very suave looking young men) are really going from strength to strength. They've bagged a place on tour with Blondie and have been seen (and heard) in venues all around the country...where people have responded pretty positively!
We like Lexy, her vocals are powerful and infectious...with a little rasp. The perfect combination in our opinions, maybe yours too.
They've got about 3 or 4 videos for you to check out. "We Can Dance Alone" being the most popular.
Jamie McDell comes from the land down under and, although she's already amassed a huge following...not many of them are from this side of the world. This girl deserves to be known all over.
Her voice is beautiful, she writes her own music, she's funny and just very, very normal. The kind of gal that everyone can relate to.
She might be a bit too "pop" for some, but she deserves a moment of your time so you can make your own well-informed decision.

You may have already seen one of JENI's videos making the rounds across every form of social media; her looping track of 'Wildfire'. The video just builds and builds until you realise how devatsated you are at only finding out about her now.
It wasn't even posted a year ago and she's already uploaded enough to rival it. Just stick in your headphones, find her channel and sit back and relax...you'll be there for hours.
If you stick around long enough you may even catch her rapping. Is there nothing she can't do?
